There is something to feeling heard and understood, that adds peace to painful life challenges. We move through our lives sometimes feeling muted, pushing back our emotions until they swell up inside of us like a tidal wave knocking us off balance. We feel stuck, hurt, angry. Sometimes these emotions show up in our relationships. It’s hard to carry so much, and even harder to ask for help. By being here, you took the first step already, and my goal as a licensed therapist is to help you take each step hereafter with guidance and self-compassion. 

I may challenge you to notice what is not working so that we can begin movement towards things that do.  With evidence-based practices (such as CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing), I hope to help you shift towards skillful navigation of life’s challenges.  I focus on supporting you through building healthy attachments and coping strategies, as well as helping you navigate those overwhelming feelings.
